Metabodyworks Wellness Academy
Effective August 20, 2026

These Terms govern access to and use of the Metabodyworks Wellness Academy, including courses, learning paths, community features, instructor-support services, and related digital content.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, purchasing or accessing a course, joining the community, or otherwise using the Metabodyworks Wellness Academy learning platform (the “Academy”), you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Academy.

2. Educational Purpose and Scope

The Academy provides education in wellness, holistic practices, movement, bodywork, Reiki, yoga, meditation, complementary approaches, and related subjects.

Content is provided for educational, personal-development, and professional-development purposes only.

Academy content is not a substitute for:

• Medical diagnosis or treatment.
• Emergency medical care.
• Mental health treatment or psychotherapy.
• Advice from a physician or other regulated health professional.
• Individualized assessment by an appropriately qualified professional.

Students are responsible for working within their own competence, professional training, legal scope of practice, professional standards, and applicable laws.

Completion of a course does not authorize a student to perform regulated activities or provide services outside their lawful scope of practice.

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Academy accounts are intended for the registered student only.

You may not:

• Share your login credentials with another person.
• Sell, rent, transfer, or sublicense your account.
• Provide unauthorized access to Academy courses or materials.
• Attempt to bypass access restrictions or security features.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account.

We may suspend or terminate access where there is:

• Misuse of the platform.
• Non-payment.
• Fraudulent or unlawful activity.
• Harassment or abuse of other members.
• Intellectual-property infringement.
• Unauthorized sharing of Academy content.
• A material breach of these Terms.

4. Courses, Certificates, and Learning Pathways

Course descriptions identify the intended learning objectives, delivery format, and any completion requirements.

The Academy may offer learning passes, professional-development pathways, individual courses, certificates of completion, workshops, community learning, and other educational programs.

A certificate of completion confirms that the stated learning requirements for that particular course or program were completed.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, completion of an Academy course or learning path does not grant:

• A government licence.
• A regulated-health credential.
• Membership in a regulatory college.
• Authority to use a protected professional title.
• Permission to practise outside the student's legal scope.

Students are responsible for determining whether a course meets the continuing-education, insurance, employer, association, or regulatory requirements that apply to them.

5. Leaderboard, Points, and Community Levels

The Academy may use points, leaderboards, badges, levels, achievements, or similar features to encourage participation and learning.

These features recognize engagement and participation only.

Leaderboard points, community levels, badges, and rankings do not represent:

• Professional certification.
• Clinical competence.
• Licensure.
• Academic accreditation.
• Authorization to practise a profession.

Metabodyworks may modify point values, level requirements, badges, rewards, or leaderboard features at any time.

6. Community Participation

The Academy may include community boards, comments, discussions, member profiles, direct messaging, leaderboards, and other interactive features.

Members are expected to communicate respectfully and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

You must not post or distribute content that is:

• Unlawful.
• Threatening or abusive.
• Harassing or discriminatory.
• Defamatory.
• Fraudulent or deliberately misleading.
• Sexually explicit or inappropriate.
• Invasive of another person's privacy.
• Intended to intimidate, exploit, or harm another member.
• In violation of copyright or other intellectual-property rights.

Do not post another person's confidential health, financial, personal, or identifying information without appropriate authorization.

Community discussions are intended for education and peer connection. They must not be used as a substitute for individualized medical, psychological, legal, or other professional assessment.

Metabodyworks may remove content or restrict community access when reasonably necessary to maintain safety, privacy, respectful conduct, or compliance with these Terms.

7. Payments, Subscriptions, Cancellations, and Refunds

Prices, billing frequency, applicable taxes, and recurring charges will be shown before purchase where applicable.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

If you purchase a recurring membership or subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charge until the subscription is cancelled.

Cancellation of a recurring subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically provide a refund for amounts already charged.

Refund eligibility is governed by the Metabodyworks Wellness Academy Refund Policy and any specific cancellation terms shown at the time of purchase or booking.

For booked instructor-support sessions, the cancellation policy displayed during booking applies.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Academy materials are owned by or licensed to Metabodyworks.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Videos.
• Audio recordings.
• Course text.
• Manuals.
• Worksheets.
• Graphics.
• Illustrations.
• Course structures.
• Lesson plans.
• Logos and branding.
• Downloadable materials.
• Assessments.
• Meditation recordings.
• Educational presentations.

Materials are provided for the student's personal learning and any expressly permitted professional use.

You may not, without prior written permission:

• Copy or reproduce Academy content for redistribution.
• Resell or republish course materials.
• Upload Academy content to another website, platform, or file-sharing service.
• Record or redistribute protected course videos or live instruction.
• Share course materials with people who have not purchased access.
• Scrape, extract, or systematically download content.
• Create competing commercial courses substantially derived from Academy materials.
• Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices.

9. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of original content that you post to the Academy community.

By posting content, you grant Metabodyworks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and technically process that content as reasonably necessary to operate the Academy.

You remain responsible for the content you post.

You represent that you have the right to share any content you submit and that your content does not violate another person's privacy, copyright, trademark, or other legal rights.

10. Practical Activities and Personal Responsibility

Some Academy courses may include movement, yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, self-care techniques, bodywork concepts, partner practice, or other practical activities.

Students are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment and working within their own abilities.

Stop an activity if it causes pain, dizziness, significant discomfort, shortness of breath, distress, or other concerning symptoms.

Seek appropriate medical or professional advice when necessary.

Participation in practical activities is voluntary and should be adapted to individual circumstances, training, health status, and professional scope.

11. Availability and Third-Party Services

We aim to keep Academy services available and accurate, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.

The Academy may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• Maintenance.
• Technical problems.
• Hosting interruptions.
• Internet outages.
• Updates.
• Security issues.
• Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Features, courses, platform functions, or community tools may be modified, updated, replaced, or discontinued.

The Academy may rely on third-party providers for services such as hosting, learning management, payment processing, email delivery, video hosting, analytics, scheduling, and communications.

Use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.

12. Disclaimer of Outcomes

The Academy is intended to support learning and professional or personal development.

We do not guarantee specific:

• Health outcomes.
• Employment outcomes.
• Business results.
• Income.
• Certification recognition.
• Professional advancement.
• Academic results.
• Client outcomes.

Results depend on many factors outside the control of Metabodyworks, including a student's participation, prior knowledge, practice, professional scope, circumstances, and application of the material.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Academy content and services are provided on an “as available” basis.

Metabodyworks does not guarantee that all information will be free from errors or that access will always be uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Metabodyworks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance upon Academy services or content.

Students remain responsible for their own decisions, professional practice, and use of educational material.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account where a user materially violates these Terms, misuses the platform, infringes intellectual property, threatens or harasses others, engages in fraudulent activity, or creates a significant safety or security concern.

Where appropriate, we may first provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.

Serious misconduct may result in immediate suspension or termination.

Termination of an account does not automatically create a right to a refund. Refund eligibility remains subject to the applicable Refund Policy and consumer law.

15. Privacy

Use of the Academy is also governed by the Metabodyworks Wellness Academy Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

By using the Academy, you acknowledge that personal information may be collected and processed as described in those policies.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in:

• Academy services.
• Technology.
• Legal requirements.
• Community features.
• Business practices.

The current version will be posted on the Academy with an updated effective date.

Continued use of the Academy after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply to you based on your place of residence.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
